BBBSMA HOSTS QUARTERLY MIXER AT THE BATTERY

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta (BBBSMA) hosted it’s quarterly mixer, Pints for Potential, at Yard House at The Battery on July 13th, 2023.

Speakers included Big Sister Kate Coffey of the BBBSMA Young Leaders Council (YLC), Stephanie Block, BBBSMA Corporate Relations Manager and sister of a Little Brother turned Big Brother, and Jacob Kreutz BBBSMA Corporate & Community Engagement Manager and Big Brother.

Pints for Potential is a quarterly event to recruit MatchMaker Members to support our Big/Little matches monthly. This quarterly gathering was an opportunity to meet other area professionals with a heart for service while enjoying the cool beats of Atlanta’s very own DJ RudeDawg and cold beverages of Yard House at The Battery. Attendees mingled and learned about the nation’s most successful youth mentoring program, and heard directly from volunteer mentors about the life-long relationships and impact that their experiences as BIGs have made possible.

Attendees had the chance to purchase a BBBS Pint Glass for $10 and receive a complimentary drink ticket. Thanks to the generosity of Yard House, any additional beverage they purchased received a $1 discount each time they showed their BBBS glass (good only for the day of the event).

Thank you to Yard House, who supplied all the appetizers and hosted the space.

Also thank DJ Rude Dawg (Dr. Rudy Aguilar of Kennesaw State University) for keeping the party going!

Match Makers is a Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta monthly giving program that provides the means and resources to create and sustain life-changing relationships. As a monthly donor, you will equip and prepare our Big Brother and Big Sister mentors with the tools required to create an enduring and transformative relationship with children facing adversity in our communities.

Once you’ve joined our elite group of philanthropic leaders, monthly contributions of $10, $25, $35, or $50 (or an amount of your choice) will be deducted from your credit or debit card.
