BBBSMA distributes 1,000 backpacks at annual Back to School Bash

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta (BBBSMA) welcomed more than 800 attendees to its annual Back to School Bash, bringing together families, volunteers, corporate partners, and community organizations for a day dedicated to helping students start the school year strong. BBBSMA distributed 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies and 90 brand-new bicycles.

Families also enjoyed free haircuts, music, food, treats, raffle prizes, and a community resource fair featuring local organizations that provide year-round support and services.

The event was made possible through the support of dozens of volunteers and generous corporate partners.

  • Aprio – Packed backpacks and led an art activity for attendees
  • TruStage – Volunteered, packed backpacks, and distributed school supplies
  • Wellstar – Volunteered, packed backpacks, and distributed school supplies
  • Colliers – Provided day-of volunteer support
  • Kason Industries – Donated 75 bicycles
  • Rollins – Donated 15 bicycles
  • Ben & Jerry’s – Donated ice cream for families
  • Chick-fil-A – Donated meals for volunteers
  • Coca-Cola – Donated beverages
