Archie Wilson, Jr. is an Associate in the Atlanta office of King & Spalding LLP and member of the Corporate, Finance, and Investments practice group. Archie’s practice focuses on the representation of public and private companies, private equity funds, and strategic corporate investors in a wide range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance.

Archie is a cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law where he interned for the Honorable Jill Pryor at the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and served as the Executive Notes Editor for the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. Archie also served as a Research Assistant for Dean Usha Rodrigues, President of the Business Law Society, Student Attorney in the Business Law Clinic, and Competition Chair for the Negotiation Competition Team. Archie received the inaugural Carol E. Morgan Award for Excellence in the Study of Business Law and Ethics.

Prior to law school, he was the first Entrepreneur in Residence at Wesleyan University (CT) and later worked as Director of Entrepreneur Programming at the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs. Archie received an M.A. in Creative and Innovative Education from Georgia State University and a B.A. in Government from Wesleyan University (CT) where he was a member of the football team.

When he is not working, Archie is spending time with his wife, Taylor, or volunteering for one of Metro Atlanta’s many service agencies. Archie is a member of Emerging 100 Class of 2024, was named to the National Black Lawyers 2025 Top 40 Under 40, and is a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta’s Young Leaders Council (YLC). He is a changemaker dedicated to supporting and uplifting Atlanta’s community through service and leadership.

When asked about mentorship, Archie had this to say, “I am deeply passionate about mentoring relationships. Without strong mentors, my life looks completely different today. Continuing the cycle of positive mentorship is a promise I made to my mentors growing up, and through supporting the work of BBBSMA, that promise is being kept.”
