Senior-founding lead mentors represent Level Up at Big Brothers Big Sisters regional conference

Our Senior-Founding Lead Mentors, Trikelia Browning and Quantavis Tilley, proudly represented the Level Up Program at the Big Brothers Big Sisters Regional Conference in Orlando, Florida.

The conference brought together leaders and professionals from across the region who share a passion for empowering youth through mentorship. For Browning and Tilley, the experience was both exciting and rewarding, offering the chance to highlight Level Up’s unique model while engaging with an enthusiastic audience of peers.

The Senior-Founding Lead Mentors shared the story of how Level Up began and explained the program’s innovative design, where site-based mentoring teams are embedded in schools five days a week. This consistent presence has created strong, trusting relationships with students, while schools have reported meaningful improvements in both attendance and behavior.

Audience members responded with enthusiasm, asking thoughtful questions and offering affirming feedback. One participant said, “This is exactly what our schools need,” while another shared that Level Up provided “a fresh perspective they hadn’t considered before.”

Seeing the work of Level Up resonate with so many and spark genuine interest in similar models was rewarding, they said. Facilitating this session affirmed their role in the broader mentoring movement and reminded them of the meaningful impact they continue to make.
