Eric M. Charity is a Partner at Kilpatrick, Townsend & Stockton LLP and is a member of the firm’s Corporate Finance team. Eric has been recognized as one of the “Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch” from 2021 through 2023 for Leveraged Buyouts and Private Equity Law and again in 2024 for Banking and Finance Law and Leveraged Buyouts and Private Equity Law by The Best Lawyers in America®.

He was listed as “Up and Coming” in the area of Banking and Finance in the 2023, 2024 and 2025 editions of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. Eric was also awarded the “Rising Star” award by the Atlanta Business Chronicle – 2022 Leaders in Corporate Citizenship and selected as an “On the Rise” honoree in the 2022 Daily Report Georgia Legal Awards.

Eric is an Alumni Big Brother of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta and is a member of the agency’s Young Leaders Council. He additionally mentors for Emerging 100 of Atlanta and the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity and is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Eric participates in community outreach and pro bono work regularly – a practice that is shared and celebrated throughout his firm. Outside of work and mentoring, Eric spends his free time with his wife, Gladys and their two daughters, Carmen (3) and Madison (1).
