Bigs Swing Fore Littles 2025 raises nearly $100,000 for youth mentorship

Bigs Swing Fore Littles 2025 was a tremendous success! Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and the dedication of our peer-to-peer fundraisers, the event raised nearly $100,000 to support youth mentoring programs that defend the potential of Metro Atlanta youth.

More than 120 attendees gathered for an evening of friendly competition and celebration of the life-changing power of mentorship. The night brought together Bigs, Littles, supporters, and community leaders in a fun atmosphere that highlighted both the impact and joy of giving back.

Bigs Swing Fore Littles is more than a fundraising event. Participants bond with their team, take part in a bit of friendly rivalry, and know that every dollar raised helps change lives. That impact is clear: more than 2,600 children across Metro Atlanta benefit from our programs today. Thanks to this support, 98% of Littles graduate high school on time and 98% avoid involvement with the juvenile justice system.

This year’s event also celebrated the efforts of our participants. Peter Lauer received the Big Heart Award for his fundraising and ongoing support of BBBSMA. Anqi Zou’s team earned the Top Fundraising Team Award, raising more than $3,700 and finishing second in the tournament, while Carly Garrett was recognized as the Top Individual Fundraiser. Thomas Hamlin took first place as an individual player, and his team also earned the top overall score.

The Georgia Pacific team, led by David Duncan, placed third. Keith Mosley was honored with the Defender of Potential Award, and Sonique Sailsman received the Big Defender of Potential Award for her outstanding fundraising efforts as a Big, which she will celebrate with her Little at a future event. Sheriff Labat and his team received the Team Spirit Award.

We extend our deepest thanks to our sponsors whose support made this event possible. Our Golden Eagle Sponsors were Georgia Power, Genuine Parts Co., and Georgia Pacific. Silver Birdie Sponsors included Bay Point and Primerica, and our Bronze Par Sponsors were Berkeley Capital Partners & Access Private Capital, BlueFletch, First Horizon, Solomon Brothers Jewelers, and Delta Community Credit Union. This year’s Bigs Swing Fore Littles showed what can happen when a community comes together in support of mentorship. We are grateful to everyone who participated, donated, and cheered us on. Together, we are building a brighter future for Metro Atlanta youth.
