Atlanta, GA – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta (BBBSMA) recently hosted the exhilarating "Say Yes to the Prom Dress" event on March 29, proudly presented by The Lady Hawks and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta (BBBSMA). During this event, high school girls from both BBBSMA and Shamea Shares had the opportunity to get-prom ready, with one teen having her prom just that night! The event was created to enhance the confidence of the teen participants by offering necessary prom essentials, including dresses, shoes, accessories, and makeup, all free of charge.

The event saw an enthusiastic turnout of 36 young ladies, who were treated to a unique and exclusive prom dress shopping experience. BBBSMA headquarters was transformed into a stunning boutique setup, complete with a seamstress to ensure perfect dress fittings. The event was graced by the presence of parents, Big Sisters, and distinguished guests including the Lady Hawks and Shamea Morton of Shamea Shares and Real Housewives of Atlanta.

The girls were welcomed to the event with VIP-style drapes, music, and a red carpet. As they made their way through the event, each girl was paired with a Lady Hawk as her personal stylist for the day as they made their way from station to station, trying on dresses until they found just the right one, then choosing shoes and accessories, even getting to design a customized Kendra Scott jewelry item from the Kendra Cares Color Bar. Key highlights of the day included professional hair and makeup services, dazzling shoes, and exquisite dresses, all offered free of charge. Attendees had their hair and makeup styled by beauty experts, giving tips and tricks for the big day; they even received glamour bags filled with premium cosmetic and beauty products from BBBS National Partner, Ulta.
