ATLANTA – On Saturday July 22nd, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta hosted its annual Back-to-School Event at our lovely home office.
This year, our corporate partner volunteers, Bigs & Littles, caregivers, and local community partners all came together as we distributed 400 bookbags with supplies, free haircuts, raffle prizes, shoes, and resources all to ensure Metro Atlanta’s middle and high school students head back to the classroom prepared to reach their highest potential this school term!
Attendees also enjoyed engaging board games as well BBQ provided by Fifth Third Bank and free scoops of delicious ice cream provided by Ben & Jerry’s.
We want to thank our generous partners who made this event a success:
Colliers, Fiserv, and Truist for donating backpacks.
Fifth Third Bank, State Farm, Truist, and Fiserv for providing volunteers.
Ben & Jerry’s for providing delicious ice cream and Fifth Third Bank for providing a BBQ food truck.
School Box Inc. for packing, assembling, and delivering the backpacks.
And Publix Super Markets for ensuring our volunteers were fed and hydrated during the event.
We’re #BiggerTogether when we all join in defending the promise of Metro Atlanta’s kids and support them in reaching their fullest potential!
