Benjamin "Ben" Rohrer Scholarship Fund

In honor of Ben Rohrer, his friends and colleagues at KPMG have generously established a scholarship in his name.

A native of Sparta, Michigan, Ben moved to Atlanta with his wife Dhari when he accepted a position at KPMG in 2003. Ben poured his heart into KPMG, creating heartfelt and deep friendships with his co-workers, actively mentoring many of the junior associates throughout his time with the firm. He joined the partnership in 2009 and excelled in this role. Not only did he achieve professional success as a partner, but his role as friend and mentor is marked by many, many people being grateful to him for his positive impact on their careers.

Survivors include his wife Dhari and his children Holden, Sloane, and Brooke.

Ben's life was marked by an exceptionally generous spirit and desire to give to his community. While working at his first position in Jackson, Michigan, he volunteered at AWARE—a shelter for victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault—providing accounting services pro bono. He was also active with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, serving as a mentor to several at risk teenage boys throughout his time in Jackson and Grand Rapids. Upon his move to Chicago, and subsequent move to Atlanta, despite an increased workload, he still found time to volunteer, participating in and supporting events that KPMG sponsored, including Big Brothers Bigs Sisters Bowl for Kids’ Sake event.

The Ben Rohrer Scholarship Fund will provide a $2,500 annual scholarship to a Senior in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta program who is graduating from high school and going on to college. The first scholarship will be awarded in June 2022. This scholarship recognizes Ben’s commitment to mentoring and to the success of youth in the community.
