President & CEO
Janice McKenzie-Crayton serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta (BBBSMA), one of the largest and oldest mentoring organizations in the south. She has held this position since January 1992, and provides leadership to a diverse and multi-cultural staff of approximately 40 professionals. As the chief administrator of this youth-serving organization, Janice has led BBBSMA through strategic growth and has expanded BBBSMA to serve more than 2,000 children annually. Prior to joining Big Brothers Big Sisters, Janice was the Vice President for Development at Spelman College after moving to Atlanta in 1988. Prior to her notable work at Spelman, Janice held positions with Howard University, Hampton University and the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Howard University.
Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Julio C. Carrillo serves as Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer for BBBSMA. He is responsible for managing the daily operations of the agency, which include customer relations, enrollment, match support, and the agency’s call center. Julio is also responsible for managing long-term agency goals, which include program quality analysis, child safety, budgeting, and grant execution. Under his program leadership, BBBSMA has consistently met or exceeded national program standards establishing the Metro Atlanta agency as a model for measuring the success of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. Prior to his current role, Julio served as Vice President of Program Services, Director of Customer Relations and Director of Match Support for BBBSMA. Julio has more than 15 years of experience in logistics and operations, working in management with Fresh Market and Siemens, and holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration.
Vice President of Finance and Administration
Paul Shenk serves as Vice President of Finance and Administration BBBSMA. He joined the agency in 2012, after spending 31 years with CIBA Vision Corporation in Atlanta in their Finance and Accounting Department as Manager and Head of Financial Reporting. Paul is from Atlanta, and he has a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Georgia. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Georgia and, in a previous role; he worked for Deloitte and Touche. He is an accomplished finance professional with a varied background including accounting, budgeting, auditing, tax, Sarbanes Oxley, system implementations and management. Paul has served on several non-profit boards in Executive positions. He is a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Vice President of Development & Public Relations
Michele Pearce serves as Vice President of Development and Public Relations for BBBSMA, where she is responsible for managing all fundraising activities, public relations and marketing programs. She has more than 20 years of experience in development in Atlanta, which began when she served as Senior Development Associate for BBBSMA from 1995-1999. Before returning to BBBSMA in 2015, she was the Chief Development Officer for ClearPoint Financial Solutions (formerly CredAbility/Consumer Credit Counseling Service) a national nonprofit headquartered in Atlanta, and she has also served as Director of Development and Co-Producing Artistic Director for Synchronicity Theatre in Atlanta, and Director of Development for Moving in the Spirit and Cool Girls. Pearce holds the Certified Fund Raising Executive designation awarded by CFRE International, and she is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
