1,000 Male Mentors Needed
"The joy of children laughing around you… these are the makings of you" -- Curtis MayfieldIntegrity, responsibility, and respect don’t happen in a vacuum. Boys are made into men within environments that promote healthy and positive self-esteem. Join Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta (BBBS) to become one of a thousand new men to support the enrichment of young boys in your neighborhood, community center, or church.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta (BBBS) is launching the “Man Made” recruitment initiative. BBBS is working to bridge the gap between young boys and men by creating a relationship that fosters aspiration, enlightenment, and long-term relationships. Currently, the BBBS program has over 1,000 young males looking for a Big Brother to step up and offer to be a friend and advisor who will positively change their lives.
The primary goal of the Man Made campaign is to motivate 1,000 men to sign up to be active participants in the Big Brothers program. The Man Made program will conduct outreach throughout Fulton, DeKalb, Gwinnett, and Cobb counties.
For over 48 years, BBBS has served children and families via community-based and school-based programs in 12 counties. Examples of these programs include Mentoring Children of Incarcerated Parents (MCIP), the Hispanic Mentoring Program (HMP), Mentoring through Corporate Partnerships, Mentoring Towards College (MTC), and more.
